It’s made up of small square blocks that clip together to form a larger mat. The mat can be rolled up for storage at the end of the day or the cricket season.
Set-up is easy on any firm level space with short grass. Roll out in your back yard or the main school rugby field. At the end of the season, roll it back up and store, so that you can use the field for another sport.
To make the pitch easier to roll up at the end of the season, plan to keep the grass that grows through the pitch trimmed.
